Here is a snapshot of group of points typically used to treat arthritis pain in the feet.
So you may be wondering – what is the difference between rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis?
According to the principles of traditional Chinese Medicine – rheumatoid arthritis is characterized by a burning or heat like sensation. It is localized (stays in the same place) and you can see that it can become red – indicating the presence of heat and inflammation. And, it can be aggravated with movement.
Osteoarthritis is different. It is typically characterized by pain, which is typically dull not sharp) and usually gets better upon movement. There is inflammation, but it is a puffy type of inflammation, like there is a bit of edema in the immediate area. Cold weather or rainy days can make it worse.
What do these two types have in common?
